Q. How do I obtain a White Good Sticker?
A If a resident of the City has curb side rubbish pick up as delineated under the
City’s trash contract, a white good sticker must be purchased to dispose of the
following items. Stickers are $20.00 per item.
IF YOU HAVE PRIVATE TRASH PICKUP, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR CONTRACTED TRASH HAULER BEFORE PURCHASING A STICKER THROUGH THE CITY.
Air Conditioners, CRT’s (Computer units & monitors), Clothes Dryers,
Clothes Washers, Central AC units & compressors, Dehumidifiers,
Dishwashers, Gas Grills (No propane), Hot Water Heaters, Lawnmowers, Metal
filing cabinets & desks, Microwaves, Refrigerators, Radiators, Snowblowers,
Stoves, Televisions, Trash Compactor, Wood Burning Stove, and other items
designated by the US EPA and Mass DEP as requiring special handlings.
• Sticker is valid for one item only
• Place sticker on unit in a visible location for handler to easily identify
facing public way
• Place item at curbside by 7:00 A.M. on the day of your regular trash pick up
OR YOU MAY DISPOSE OF THE ITEM (WITH STICKER) DIRECTLY BY
BRINGING THE SAME TO THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT AT 50 FARM AVENUE.
I.D. IS REQUIRED BEFORE ENTERING THE FACILITY.
HOURS TO DISPOSE AT DPS ARE:
MONDAY – FRIDAY 7:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M.; AND THE LAST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH 7:00 A.M. TO 12 NOON .
YOU MUST CALL JRM BY 3:00 P.M. AT LEAST ONE DAY PRIOR
TO YOUR REGULAR RUBBISH PICK UP TO BE PLACED ON THE

WHITE GOODS STICKERS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Sec. 24-18. Residential sales.
No person shall carry on, conduct or allow to be conducted a sale of
secondhand articles, commonly known as yard sales, from their place of
residence on more than two days in each calendar year unless in
conformity with the zoning ordinance and licensed under section 24-16.
The residential sales shall require a license to be issued by the City
Clerk upon payment of a fee of $5.00 per day.
